We drove with a van from Manila to Batangas. We parked the car there for a few days. With the motorboat we went from Batangas Pier to Puerto Galera, which is located on the island of Oriental Mindoro.

We stayed at the Dreamwave Hotel on White Beach.  This hotel is cheap and in a good location on the beach.

Well worth taking a day trip island hopping and snorkeling. The marine world can be explored while snorkeling in small row boats for a maximum of 4 people. The visits to different islands are exciting. So we ate sea urchins for the first time. Much too salty, it didn't taste good. The visit to an underwater cave with a wonderful bath was also exciting.

A visit to the Talipanan waterfall is well worth it. Armed with enough water, it goes on a half-hour walk through a wonderful, wild jungle up to the Talipanan waterfall. There you can take a bath in the crystal clear water as a reward. You can buy snacks and drinks at a small kiosk.
